On Friday night last June 3rd our Senior Hurling team travelled to Pairc Risteard Ui Cinneide in Killeagh to take on the home side in our ninth game in the Senior League. It was a balmy evening for hurling on a perfect surface. Both sides had some great point in the first half at the end of which we had a two point advantage with the score standing at  Killeagh 0-06. Bride Rovers 0-08.  The second half saw the pace upped a great deal and Killeagh scored two goals to build up a substantial lead. With five minutes to go Killeagh still had a five point lead. We finished very strongly with some great points, Richard Whitty levelled the scores and Barry Johnson hit the winner to leave the full time score at  Killeagh 2-12. Bride Rovers 0-19

Panel v Killeagh: D Dooley, C Power, W Finnegan, S Glasgow, S Ryan, R Whitty, J Pratt, B Johnson, M Kearney, S O Connor, B Murphy, B Walsh, D Carr, M Liddane, D Fitzgerald, F Collins, S Hackett.  This was a great win which takes us to fourth spot in the Senior Hurling League. We have five more games to play in this Competition but no more fixtures have been made at the time of writing.
Our next game in the Co. Senior Hurling Championship is against the Avondhu Divisional team and is fixed for Saturday June 25th in Castletownroche at 7.30pm. That is just two weeks from Saturday night so it will be a hectic few weeks in the lead up to this game.
