Our Seniors went down to a strong Erins Own team by two pints in a very competitive RED FM SHL, played in ideal conditions at Pairc Na Bríde on Sunday evening.
Level at the break 9 points each, it was Erins Own who got of to the better start in the second half, adding 3 points in as many minutes, and led for most of the second half and looked set for a 6 point victory with time nearly up, but a late free for Barry Johnson was saved and Michael Collins put the rebound to the net,one further chance for a late Rovers goal went narrowly wide and Erins Own picked up the two point on offer.
