Juniors Start with League Win.

We played our opening game in Division 1 of the East Cork Junior Hurling League last Saturday when St. Itas from Gortroe were the visitors to Pairc na Bride on the afternoon. The Itas side started the strongest and had three early points before we grew into the contest with some great points. There were plenty white flags raised as the sides traded point for point and by the break we had a four point advantage 0  13 to  0 9. We started the second half in mighty style adding 1  4 without reply. Our second half goal scorers were  Colm Power and Stephen Hackett. St Itas came well into the contest in the third quarter but some great defending from our backs kept their tally to just two points to leave the final score Bride Rovers 2 19 St Itas 0  11.

This was a very good result for a very hard working team. All the subs played their part too when they introduced.

Team and scorers: Jerome O'Driscoll, Mike Liddane, Liam Forde, Jacob Macak, Tadhg O'Sullivan(0-1), Brendan Walsh(0-1), Ryan Prendergast, Shane O'Connor, Damien Buckley(0-4), Jason Mannix(0-5), Brennie O'Driscoll, DJ Cahill(0-3), Colm Power(1-2), Stephen Hackett(1-2), Podge Noonan(0-1)
