Junior Ladies Football...

Bride Rovers 7-16 Mitchelstown 0-5

We recorded a very good victory in our first league game of the year. We were lucky enough to have a very strong experienced set of players available to play. We played some fantastic football & got some great scores. We led 2-8 to 0-4 points at half time, through goals from Sinead Walsh & Colette Hogan and points from Katie Connor, Trish O'Sullivan, Michelle Hartnett, Sinead Walsh and junior team debutant Eimear Knightly.

We started the second half really impressively, scoring 4 goals in as many minutes. We continued to put scores on the board right until the end of the game, and our backs played brilliantly too throughout, holding our opponents to one point in the second half. We ran out resounding winners on a scoreline of 7-16 to 5 points.

Team: Madison Parle, Emma O'Keeffe, Erin O'Keeffe, Aine Cashman, Michelle Hartnett (0-2), Martha O'Donovan, Trish O'Sullivan (0-4), Elaine Culloty (1-1), Eimear Knightly (0-1), Colette Hogan (3-1), Grainne Noonan (0-1), Katie Connor (1-5), Katie Kelleher.
