Ladies Club Report - 2016-04-05 12:07:00

On Monday the 28th of March, 2016 the u14 football team travelled to Youghal to play
Youghal B in the East Cork League. Bride Rovers proved far too strong
for the home side and led by a substantial  margin at half time. In
fairness to Youghal, they never gave up and worked hard in the second
half to narrow the gap between the teams. However, Bride Rovers won
the match having played extremely well with good team work going
forward and a strong defence.
Team: Abby Keating (3-3), Naoise McCarthy, Rebecca Walsh (0-1), Alice
Murray, Leah Hallihan (1-0), Caoimhe Hazelwood (3-2), Caoimhe Kielty,
Shauna Hayes (1-0), Ava Hallihan, Alanna Broderick, Sophie Dorgan
(1-1), Amy Kennedy, Ciara O'Flynn (1-0), Niamh O'Sullivan, Sarah
Morrison, Ali O'Riordan, Ella Quinlan (3-1)

On Thursday evening 31st of March, 2016 Bride Rovers under 14 team travelled to Fr. O'Neills for their first match of the season in the camogie league. They were very low on numbers and lined out with just fourteen players, many of them from the under 12 squad. Unfortunately, the home side were much stronger and more experienced and, despite battling to the bitter end, Bride Rovers were unable to make any real impact on the game. Fair play to the girls though for trying very hard and it's far to say that they did their best against a much better team on the day.
Team: Alice Murray, Naoise McCarthy, Ella Quinlan, Rebecca Walsh, Alanna Broderick, Caoimhe Hazelwood, Shauna Hayes, Abby Keating, Amy Kennedy, Ciara O'Flynn, Niamh O'Sullivan, Mollie O'Connell, Lily Murray, Ava Barry.

The Cork U16 Ladies Footballers were beaten by Kerry in Castleisland on Saturday the 2nd of April, 2016 in the first round of the Munster Championship F/T Score 3-10 to 0-7.
