Club Notes from the PRO...Victory Social on Friday..

Our Victory Social in conjunction with the Ladies Club will be held on this  Friday January24th in Vienna Woods Hotel, Glanmire. Last year the girls win the County Senior B Football championship. We won the East Cork Junior B Football championship as well as the Under 21 Football Championship and also captured the 2018 East Cork Division 3 Junior Football League Title.  The winners medals for these competitions will be presented on the night. Club all Ireland Finals.

On Saturday afternoon last the crowds milled around Croke park and the Hotel across the road 'Tis like a Fair Day in Midleton long ago' on old-timer said to me. He was right of course because everywhere one looked you saw East Cork people. With Russell Rovers and Fr O Neills contesting the Junior and Intermediate Hurling Club Finals there was a fantastic buzz and the two Kilkenny sides, Conahy Shamrocks and Tullaroan brought their fans also. We had no All Ireland titles returning to Imokilly but what memories we all have after not just a fantastic weekend but a brilliant few months. Since last autumn these clubs have been on the road and given great entertainment and fun to so many supporters so they can take a bow. Of course 'twould have been great to bring the trophies back to Cork but from all in Bride Rovers we say 'well done' to two great Clubs.  We have at least one very happy Bride Rovers man, Nevin Butler, who does such great work for our Club, was born and reared a Conahy Shamrocks man so well done to Nevin and all his fellow parishioners.

Lotto.

The Lotto numbers drawn on Tuesday 14th of January were 4,6,11 &3 0 and there was no jackpot winner. The winners of €30 each were M. O Donoghue LAYA, Niall Hogan, Ava, Cormac & Cathal Barry, Ollie Walsh & the Shanahan family.

We are very grateful to each and everyone who regularly supports the Weekly Lotto as the funds raised are vital for the day to day running of the Club. Great Win For John.

Congratulations to John Murphy of Hightown, Bartlemy on winning the Watergrasshill GAA Lotto Jackpot. The Jackpot was €19,600 on Monday night last January the 20th when John's four numbers were drawn out. Well done John on a nice win.

Drama In Bartlemy.
