Excitement mounting in Bartlemy.

There is a great sense of anticipation and pride around Bartlemy these days as  Friday approaches. Local jockey and Bride Rovers hurler Josh Ahern will be riding King Alex in the famous Cheltenham Foxhunters chase at 4.40. The horse is owned and trained by Josh's father Garrett at Monanig which looks down over the Bartlemy point to Point Racecourse where the annual race meeting will be held on May 10th. KIng Alex might be an outsider in the betting market but  locals are delighted for the Aherns- taking part in the Cheltenham Festival is so special for all National Hunt racing fans.
