Minors Reach Co. League Final..

On Sunday morning last we had Valley Rovers as visitors in the Rebel Og Premier 2 Minor Hurling League semi final.  In a high scoring contest we emerged winners on a scoreline of Bride Rovers 3 20 to 1 15 for the Innishannon side. We laid the foundations for the victory with a good first half performance after which we led by 2 10 to 0 3. Valley Rovers did come into the game in the second half adding 1 12 while we scored a further 1 10 for a very good victory. When we met in the ordinary league game on June 26th we won by 3 24 to 0 16. Team; Ben Hogan, Oisin Roche, Jordan Mannix, Ruairi O Sullivan, John Buckley, Eoin Roche, Matthew Quinn, Griffen O Keeney, Kieran Kearney, Conor Barry, Paddy O Flynn, Cian Hogan, Shawn Knox, Brian Roche, Seamus Ahern, Cian O Callaghan, John O Sullivan, Ml. Quinlan Thomas Macek, Edmond Cashman. Shandrum have to play St. Finbarrs in the other semi -final of this League.

Under 21 Final Goes Back.

Our Under 21 Hurling Championship Final which was provisionally fixed for the coming weekend has gone off. There are two possible dates now November the 25th or December the 2nd. Nemo Rangers and Kilmurry played a drawn game last weekend in the County U 21 A football Final. This final is being replayed on next Sunday. As several of the Kilmurry team play under 21 hurling with Cloughduv the Fermoy v Cloughduv County u 21 Hurling Semi Final fixed for this week has been postponed and is now refixed for Monday night November the 19th (the date of our AGM) in Pairc Ui Rinn. If Cloughduv  win the Final is down for the last Sunday November  whereas if Fermoy win the Final is a week later. 

RED FM SHL Quarter Final.


Our Quarter Final game v Glen Rovers in the RED FM in the Cork Co SHL was fixed for Riverstown on tonight Thursday under lights in Riverstown. It has now been refixed for next Sunday at 2 o clock in Riverstown.

Bride Rovers Lotto.


The numbers drawn on Tuesday  October 30th for a jackpot of €20,000 were  3 20 8, 17, 19, 22 and there was no winner
This week's jackpot on Tuesday November the 6th was €20,000 The prizes of €30 each last week went to Kevin Carey, Ian Doherty, James Maye, Ollie Walsh and Gavin Quill.

Scor.

This coming season marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Scor back in 1969 and all clubs are asked to make an effort to revive interest in  Scor. The East Cork Final of Scor na nOg for those under 127 on January 1st 2019 will be held at the start of December. Bride Rovers hope to have participants in the competition. Cork GAA Members Draw 2018/2019

The first two draws in the new series were held last Friday night and Bride Rovers had two winners Pat Noel and Shane O Connor and D& D Burke. The next Draw is at the end of November. If you are not already in you can still join for just €10 per month.

Juvenile Club Quiz.

A massive crowd attended the Juvenile Club's Table Quiz on last Saturday night with 44 teams competing. Thanks to DJ/Quizmaster Paddy Croke and all others who helped out on the night. A special word of thanks to all who gave Raffle Prizes. The Quiz was a great success from  both a financial and a social point of view. Go raibh mile maith agaibh go leir.

Months Mind Mass.

The Month's Mind Mass for the late Jim 'Jimbob' O Donovan will be celebrated in Rathcormac Church on this Friday night November the 9th at 7.30pm.

Kevin McAleer in Bartlemy Hall next week.

Best wishes to Fermoy PIFC team who take on Moyne- Templetouhy of Tipperary  in the Munster Championship semi final in Moyne on  next Sunday. Fermoy had a great win over limerick champions Galbally in Pairc Mac Gearailt on last Saturday.
