Senior B Semi Final Sunday..

The county semi final in the Senior B Championship will take place on Sunday evening next v Fermoy. It is very unfortunate that the game is being played on the same day as Cork Minors play the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park.Following our defeat to Inch Rovers in the Senior A Quarter Final last week, we must now play Fermoy in the semi-final of the B. In recent years we won the Senior B in 2015, while last year Fermoy got the better of us after extra time. There is very little between these two sides so it promises to be another close contest. At the time of going to print no venue has being announced. Best of luck girls.

All-Ireland Minor FinalThe Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club wish Brian & Eoin Roche all the best with Cork Minors on Sunday in the All-Ireland Final. They have had a fantastic year with Cork and this would be the icing on the cake if they were to defeat Galway. Best of luck lads.

Rathcormac Road RaceThe club held a very successful Road Race on Friday last with 225 runners taking part.

Please send extended notes on this event elsewhere in The Avondhu.

Cork Minors Visit Pairc Na BrideThe Cork Minor Ladies team featuring our own Sarah Murphy & Grace Culloty, who won their 3rd All-Ireland in a row recently, were guests of the club on Wednesday night last, they got a great reception from all their young supporters and a function was held later at Barrys Bar.

On Saturday Aug. 26th we played Midleton in the East Cork U12 C Final.. It was a truly nerve wrecking game with pressure on us from the off.  Despite great efforts our forwards did not have luck on their side, with many scoring chances failing to convert.  With all our team digging deep it has to be said that our backs outstanding performance pulled it out of the bag for us on the day.. We had great celebrations back at that clubhouse following a noisy celebratory parade of the village.!!   Bride Rovers 0-6 Midleton 1-1.Panel: Lily Murray (Cpt-0-1), Ava Barry (0-4), Abby Hoare (0-1),A O Connell, A Mc Carthy, C Morrison, E Barry, E Diggan, M O Connell, N Parle, O Nagle, R Walsh, R Broderick, S Buckley, C Murphy,A O Sullivan, A Kiely, A Dorgan, C Mohally, E Finn, E Collins, F Meaney, M Cosgrove, S Birmingham , E Bartley, C Walsh.Mentors : P Barry, T Broderick, M O Connell.
